Nobody's favorite read — but these are the ground rules for using NebulaVPN. We've kept them as short and human as we could.
By downloading, installing, or using NebulaVPN (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Team Raven ("we," "us," "NebulaVPN").
You also confirm that you're old enough to enter into this agreement in your country (typically 13+, or older where local law requires) and that you'll follow all applicable laws where you live.
NebulaVPN is a free Android application that connects your device to a validated pool of publicly operated VPN servers using OpenVPN encryption. It helps protect your privacy, secure your connection on untrusted networks, and access the open internet. We provide the app and the intelligence that ranks servers — we are not the operator of the VPN servers themselves.
We trust you to use NebulaVPN responsibly. When you use the Service, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to restrict or block access if we believe these rules are being broken, though — given our minimal-data design — enforcement is necessarily limited.
Good news: there are no accounts. NebulaVPN doesn't require you to register, log in, or hand over an email to connect. You install it and use it. That means there's no account to hijack and no password to forget — and far less of your data for anyone to worry about.
The servers NebulaVPN connects you to are operated by independent third parties, not by us. We test and rank them for performance and verified exit location, but we don't control their internal operations, reliability, or logging practices. You use these servers at your own risk.
Likewise, any content, websites, or services you access through the Service belong to their respective owners. We're not responsible for third-party content, and we don't endorse it just because you can reach it through NebulaVPN.
Because NebulaVPN is free, it's supported by advertising served through mobile ad networks. Ads may be shown within the app in designated placements. We don't sell your personal data to advertisers; see our Privacy Policy for how advertising identifiers are handled by our ad partners.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — express or implied. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your specific needs. Specifically:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Team Raven shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service, which is zero.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We're always improving NebulaVPN, so the Service will evolve — features may be added, changed, or removed. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or on this site. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Team Raven operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a dispute can't be resolved informally (we hope it can — just email us), it will be handled in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Where mandatory consumer-protection laws apply in your region, they override anything here that conflicts with them.
Questions about these Terms? Want to report a violation or talk something through? Reach us at [email protected] or via our contact form. We're a small team and we'll do our best to help.
